The Fine Print - Deal Policies and Limitations

Please find our important policies regarding our Boxing Week promotions.

  1. The paid value of the gift certificates never expire.
  2. The deal does expire at the end of the season it was issued
  3. Boxing Week Deals are not valid on accommodations.  If you book online your accommodation discount will be reversed before processing the final payment for your rafting portion. We apologize but this is a limitation in our reservation system and complex packages we offer.
  4. They are not valid on the following specialty programs:  Keener Programs, Adult Keeners, Or any specialty kayak clinics including EJ etc.
  5. They also cannot be used in combination with any other discount or offer.
  6. All sales are final and non refundable.
  7. Trips are transferable to other guests.
  8. Date changes must be made prior to 30 days before original booking date. Changes within 30 days of the booking will forfeit the discount – only the paid value will transfer to the new rafting date if moved within 30 days of the booking date. No transfers of date within 7 days of the rafting date.
  9. All Trips must be paid in full to receive the deal.  Any online reservations, the balance owning will automatically be taken.

Fall Mountain Bike Trail Access

The rafting season maybe over but our bike trails are still open!  We’ve been blowing the trails weekly before the weekend to ensure they are in clear as the leaves continue to fall. 

 

Day Passes & waivers are mandatory for all visitors.  They can be purchased and completed online here.

Looking for for a mini getaway and explore the  trail system in the area? We still have two of our accommodation units available for fall  rental. 

 

The Cottage Main is one of our 4 season units, 3 bedrooms, bathroom and with a kitchenette.  It  sleeps up to 8 people.  Need more space add the Cottage Loft and you get an accommodation unit that sleeps 12.

 

The 2nd unit we have available is our London House.  This home is rentable as one whole unit or in 3 separate sections depending on group size.

Lazy River Tubing is Back

We are open again with our Lazy River Tubing Ride! After a little hiatus with COVid we have a new and improved tubing program at Wilderness Tours. Now your tube trip covers 3 kms of “Heaven’s Half Mile” and ends right at our resort.

 

This program is perfect for kids ages 3+. Combine this trip with lunch or dinner at the resort after a perfect float down the Ottawa River. This section of river is home to Eagles, Osprey, Heron, Beaver, Turtles, Deer and much more. So keep your eyes pealed on your trip you just never know what you’re going to see.

Mountain Bike Trails Open

“Mother Nature wasn’t very cooperative this spring with a very late winter. Our trail crews pushed through and cleared a considerable amount of debris from April’s ice storm.

 

We’ve been very busy since last fall cutting many new trails. “Air Bud”, “Haystack & “Dragon Finger” all should be ready early July. For full details on trail status please check www.trailforks.com for the most up to date details on conditions and trail closures.

 

We have some big plans for 2023 as you can see we have another 12 km of planned and mapped trails we are working on. So don’t forget your bike at home when you come to Wilderness Tours this summer.

Lazy River Tubing on the Ottawa River is the perfect family-friendly adventure. Relax as you enjoy the beauty of the milder island paradise of the Ottawa River.

The Ottawa River is an island paradise featuring not only world-class whitewater but milder sections perfect for Lazy River Tubing. Add spectacular scenery, pristine wilderness, and the warmest water on the continent, you get fantastic recreation to satisfy everyone.  

Just below Blacks Rapid, there is a delightful stretch of flowing river we call Heaven’s Half Mile, although it’s actually a 3 km run, it was named before metric and with poetic license.

Rafters have been joyously floating it, sans raft, for decades. It also just happens to be perfect for newer sports like tubing, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding), and boogie boarding with swim fins. Accessing this section of the river is exclusive to Wilderness Tours and is the perfect place for family fun tubing.  

We provide a tube, paddle, life jacket, shuttle, safety briefing, and laminated river map. Normal float time is about 1 hr and 20 mins.

The tubing goes rain or shine and wet suit rental is available. Choose a morning run at 10am, or one of our afternoon runs at 1pm or 4pm.

Tubers can upgrade to a resort day including lunch, land, and water sports at Park Bay

ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN
We recommend arriving 45 minutes before your Pre-Trip Briefing time. Your briefing time can be found in your reservation information. Arriving with enough time before your trip will ensure that you can get prepared for your trip at a comfortable speed. Our trip briefings operate ON-TIME. Shuttles for trips generally depart 30 minutes after the pre-trip briefing time.

DRESS FOR THE RIVER
You will need to wear footwear that will stay securely on your feet (NO FLIP-FLOPS, NO CROCS, ETC).
You will also want to dress according to the weather. Our trips operate RAIN OR SHINE. Regular swim-wear is good. If you get cold easily we recommend you wear a wet suit. Bring your own or rent one of ours. Please note: cotton t-shirts and sweaters will actually make you COLDER. We recommend wearing synthetic materials for sun protection; wool or neoprene for thermal insulation; rain jacket outer shell for wind protection.

PRE-TRIP BRIEFING
It’s time to meet your trip leader for the day. They will explain what to bring, what to wear, health and safety considerations, and the schedule for the day. This meeting usually lasts 10-12 minutes. This is a great time also to ask any last minute questions before you depart for the river. After the pre-trip briefing is complete you will have a few final minutes to make any last-minute adjustments with how you are dressed or also make any last visits to the restrooms.

SHUTTLE BUS TO TOP OF THE RIVER SECTION
Our transportation service shuttles your group from the Park Village up-river to our exclusive “put-in”, where your tubes are waiting. This is a one-way shuttle as you will be tubing all the way back to Wilderness Tours Rafting Resort. None of your belongings should be left on the bus.

Your trip begins! Get lazy as you tube down to the Wilderness Tours Riverside Resort.

BEACH TIME
This section of the Ottawa has many incredible sand beaches perfect for soaking up the sun!

You don’t have to raft to join your friends or family for a whitewater rafting adventure. Just reserve a non-rafting program or our resort day to enjoy Canada’s top adventure resort with its water park, nightly entertainment, hiking trails, good food and more. You’ll do everything expect for whitewater raft, and there is a lot to do!

DAY 1 | RIVER TRIP
