Ottawa River Classic

Ottawa River Classic is a new event for 2025 proudly presented by the Ottawa Kayak School at Wilderness Tours.

Given the popularity of the Movember Whitewater Classic, organized by Matt Hamilton and Robyn Butler, it became increasingly obvious that the Ottawa River paddling community loves this style of event.

Keeping with the original spirit of the Movember, the Ottawa River Classic will be a race down the Middle Channel of the Ottawa River (race course will be determined the day of the race).

Race Day Details:

• $30 CAD Entry Fee, 100% of which will be donated to Whitewater Region Emergency Services
• 10:00 am Race Registration at Wilderness Tours main office
• 11:00 am Group Shuttles begin
• 12:00 pm Race begins – mass start above McCoys Chute
• You must race with a partner
• No Boat restrictions! Paddle a tandem if you want.
• The first team to reach the Wilderness Tours take-out wins!
