What to Bring

What to Expect

We paddle rain or shine and have never cancelled due to weather.  The section of river we raft offers ample shelter for every weather event we’ve seen in 5 decades.

For your on river day, you’ll be provided all the river gear you’ll need for your trip.

  • Helmet
  • Life Jacket
  • Paddle
  • Professional guide and trip leader
You’ll need to bring a few extra things to ensure you and your group have a comfortable day.

For those staying in a cabin:

  • Bring flashlight
  • Wind up alarm (or extra chargers for your cell phone)
  • Warm clothing for evenings
  • Bedding and towels are included in all of our rental units but we do recommend you bring beach towels

Everything is provided if you are staying in one of our luxury units. However, we are in an area where we lose power occasionally in thunderstorms so please bring a flashlight for each person.

For those camping:

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Foam pad
  • Pillow
  • Fold-able table
  • Flashlight
  • Warm clothing for evenings
  • Wind up alarm (or extra chargers for your cell phone)
  • Folding camp chairs
  • Towel(s)

How to dress for your trip

  • We are a mask friendly resort.  Should you choose to wear one.
  • Extra shoes to wear on the raft, low cut runners, sandals or water shoes, they must stay firmly on the foot.  If you don’t have them, they are available for purchase in our river shop.  (no bare feet, flip flops or Croc style clogs on the river please), there are stops on the river where you will be climbing over rocks. If you have any injuries that may make it hard to walk please let your guide know or wear additional supportive footwear.
  • Bathing suit or quick dry shorts
  • Beach Towel (whether you are camping or staying in a cabin) to be left behind for when you return.
  • Rash Top (not mandatory but any quick dry material is OK) Basically, it’s a “River T-Shirt” that is quick dry and adds warmth. Wear it rafting, canoeing, kayaking, biking etc.
  • Wetsuits are complimentary in May and after Labour Day Monday in September. In the summer we recommend you rent (on site) a full or half suit depending on the weather.
  • For valuables, lock them in the trunk of your vehicle or hide from view. Your trip leader will look after your keys while you are on the river. We also rent coin lockers for your convenience.
  • Eye glasses, if you wear glasses, you can purchase a strap to secure them from our store
  • NO COTTON, it actually makes you cool and is not advisable
