Experience the Ultimate Summer Camp Adventure with 5 Days/5 Nights at Wilderness Tours’ Leadership Overnight Camp. 

Our 5-day/5-night Leadership Camp at Wilderness Tours offers an immersive and unforgettable experience. Our professional instructors prioritize your safety, learning, and enjoyment every step of the way.

What’s Included 

Our Leadership Overnight Camp offers everything you need for an optimal experience:

  • 15 Delicious Meals Included: Welcome dinner on Sunday night, and enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, finishing with lunch on your final day.

  • 5 Nights of Shared Accommodation: Stay in comfortable Hostel Motel Units for our overnight camps, ensuring your teen is well-rested and ready for each day of activities. We make sure your teen stays in a cozy, relaxed environment for the best sleep possible.

  • All gear & equipment for every activity: Bikes, kayaks, SUPs etc. we got it all! 

Necessary Items for Camp

  • Shorts/swimwear
  • Water shoes or athletic sandals (flip-flops or crocks are not suitable)
  • Rashtop/Synthetic T-shirts (long sleeve is preferable)
  • Sunscreen/lip balm
  • Towel and change of clothes.
  • Reusable water bottle 
  • Clothing and personal items
  • Rain gear “Muddy buddy” & Rain boots
  • Light fleece hoodie/pullover
  • Sun Hat
  • Medication
  • Sunglasses

  • Extra snacks 
  • Overnight items; Pjs, tooth brush, shampoo etc.

Itinerary

* This is a sample itinerary and may be subject to change without notice based on the number of campers, weather conditions, or guide requirements.

Day 1: Arrival & Check-in:

Evening – Welcome & Orientation (4pm drop off)

Kids arrive and check in. They meet their camp counselor, cabin mates and get settled in their assigned cabins.

  • Welcome Dinner 
    Enjoy a hearty dinner together, including options for various dietary needs.
  • Icebreaker Games
    Fun, engaging games to help everyone get to know each other, build comfort, and start forming friendships
  • Camp Orientation
    Brief overview of the camp rules, schedule, and expectations for the week. Campers will be introduced to the team of instructors.
  • Campfire & Storytelling End the evening with a cozy campfire, roasting s’mores, listening to fun camp stories, and hearing about the exciting week ahead.

Day 2: Water Adventure & Leadership Training

Morning:

  • Whitewater Kayaking Basics 
    Learning the basic kayaking skills in calm waters, teaching paddling techniques and balance.

Afternoon:

  • Whitewater Kayaking Challenge 
    Apply kayaking skills in a controlled, mild whitewater course. Safety supervision and coaches guide the kids through the experience.
  • Leadership through Multi-Sports 
    Teams play Basketball and Soccer, focusing on leadership skills like communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking.

Evening:

  • Water Games & Team Relay 
    Play fun water games like water balloon toss, relay races, and water obstacle courses in the bay.

Day 3: Inflatable Waterpark & Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Morning:

  • Cave Hunting Hike 
    Exploring nature’s wonders while learning about geology and hydrology. Discover how caves form and how water shapes these unique landscapes. A fun, educational adventure for all.

Afternoon:

  • Inflatable Waterpark Fun 
    Spend the morning at the giant inflatable waterpark, sliding, climbing, and jumping in the lake.
  • Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Basics 
    Introduction to SUP, learning balancing techniques, and paddling skills in calm water. Supervised paddle races.

Evening:

  • Campfire Games & Leadership Discussion 
    Evening games like charades or campfire trivia focused on teamwork. Discussion on how leadership applies to outdoor adventures.

Day 4: Canoeing & Leadership in Action
Morning:
  • Canoeing on the Bay 
    Paddle through the Bay with a partner to build teamwork and communication. Learn the basics of canoe strokes and coordination.

Afternoon:

  • Leadership through Multi-Sport Tournament 
    Fun competition where teams rotate between different sports like Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Hockey, applying leadership skills learned earlier in the week.

Evening:

  • Orienteering & Nature Games 
    Enjoy an evening of nature-based games like Capture the Flag or a wilderness scavenger hunt.

Day 5: Mountain Biking & Wilderness Survival

Morning:

  • Mountain Biking Adventure 
    Learn the basics of mountain biking, bike safety, and trail navigation. Then head out for a guided ride through the beginner mountain bike trails.

Afternoon:

  • Wilderness Survival Skills Session 
    Teach kids basic survival skills such as building shelters, starting fires, identifying edible plants, and navigating using a compass.
  • Leadership Challenge: Volleyball & Hockey 
    Focus on leadership qualities like decision-making and working as a team while playing a friendly yet competitive game of volleyball or hockey.

Evening:

  • Nature Hike & Night Sky Exploration 
    Guided night hike to observe nocturnal wildlife and stargaze. Campers will learn basic navigation techniques using stars and moon.
Day 6: Lazy River Tubing & Final Challenge Day 

Morning: 

  • Breakfast & Packing 
    Final breakfast together, campers pack up and clean cabins.
  • Lazy River Tubing 
    Relaxing morning tubing down the lazy river, offering a calm but exciting way to enjoy nature. 

Afternoon: 

  • Leadership Obstacle Course Challenge 
    A team-based obstacle course to test the leadership and problem-solving skills developed during the week. The course includes climbing walls, mud pits, and water challenges.

Evening: Departure 4pm

Parents arrive for pick-up, and campers say their goodbyes to new friends. 

Notes:

  • Every activity is led by certified instructors who emphasize safety while ensuring maximum fun.
  • Campers join both Kids Camp and Teen Camp for meals and when the activities coincide.
  • Meals are nutritious and catered to a variety of dietary needs.
  • Evening activities include time for relaxation, storytelling, and making lasting memories.

    This itinerary offers an exciting mix of physical activity, leadership development, outdoor adventure, and team-building in a positive and supportive camp environment.

Safety is our top priority. All children (regardless of age or swimming ability) are required to wear a PFD (personal flotation device) / lifejacket while swimming, on kayaks, SUPs or canoes, or on inflatable water park
