Our Family Adventure Camp program offers all that Wilderness Tours has to offer families; great whitewater rafting, flat topped kayaks, stand up paddle boards, beaches, hiking trails, scenic look outs, beach valley ball. These packages include your Family Gentle Raft Trip, Sea Kayak Trip, Raft n Rod Trip, Lazy River Tubing, and Resort Day.

This week has lots of activities that will keep the kids entertained endlessly. Family Adventure week will allow you to spend lots of time creating a family bond together.

Families with both pre-teens and teens often put the teens in the Ottawa Kayak School‘s, Teen Kayak Camp or Kid’s Kayak Week. Another idea is to combine the Family Adventure Camp with the Adult Adventure Week and have a family reunion or a just a week vacation with a group of families

FAMILY ADVENTURE CAMP (FAC)
Ideal for families with pre-teens. Choose from the following options for your week of adventure!

• High Adventure Rafting for 13+/90lbs or more (5+ have an activity day with our staff)
• Resort Day
• 15 meals from arrival dinner to departure day lunch
• Campsite for 5 nights Sun-Thurs (guests must bring their own tents and sleeping bags). Cabin upgrades here

Do you have to go rafting to come to Wilderness Tours?
You don’t have to raft to join your friends or family for a whitewater rafting adventure. Just reserve a non-rafting program or our resort day to enjoy Canada’s top adventure resort with its water park, nightly entertainment, hiking trails, good food and more. You’ll do everything expect for whitewater raft, and there is a lot to do!  

ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN
Arrivals for this package begin at 4 pm for your first overnight

SETTLE IN
Whether you’re camping or you’ve upgraded to one of our many accommodations, take a moment to get settled in your space. You do have dinner included in your package.

DAY 1 | RIVER TRIP
Each day you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy various channels on the Ottawa River. The first day of this package comes standard with our Gentle Family Rafting Day Trip.

DAY 2 | RAFT N ROD TRIP 
Our Raft N Rod trip is always popular with families. This is 1/2 day of whitewater rafting or sport yaking combined with 1/2 day of fishing!

DAY 3 | SEA KAYAK TRIP
Explore the Lower Channel of the Ottawa River on our Sea Kayak Day Trip with all its’ hidden gems and incredible wildlife.

DAY 4 | RIVER DAY or RESORT DAY
For the adult and teens in the group who are 13+ and 90+ lbs, choose between our High Adventure Rafting Day Trip or choose to relax with a Resort Day. Does everyone over 13 want to go rafting? That’s okay our activity staff will entertain your kids until you return back from your rafting experience!

DAY 5 | RESORT & RELAX DAY
Your final day is a resort day. You can enjoy the hiking trails and head home with some amazing new memories after lunch, or let the magic linger a bit longer by upgraded and adding an extra overnight so you can drive home after breakfast the following day.

TRIP DURATION: 5 DAYS
Trip timing can vary depending on daily river conditions. Our professional trip leaders always prioritize safety and guest enjoyment!

5 NIGHTS CAMPING
All of Wilderness Tours’ packages come with a tent campsite but you will need to bring your own camping equipment.

Wilderness Tours combines whitewater rafting with access to our resort amenities such as flat water kayaking, SUP boarding, inflatable waterpark, and swimming to create the best adventure on the Ottawa River.

PROFESSIONAL GUIDE
Wilderness Tours guides are famous for their industry-leading skills, as well as their friendly personalities and positive attitudes.

15 MEALS INCLUDED
Arrival Sunday night Dinner until Friday at Lunch.

GEAR INCLUDED
Paddle, personal flotation device, and a helmet are provided prior to your trip

DAILY SHUTTLE INCLUDED
This trip begins by meeting your trip leader just out front of the Rafters Pavilion. After a safety orientation, you will be provided with gear, then you’ll board the bus which take the trip to the beginning of the rapids. The river then flows back downstream to the Wilderness Tours Rafting Resort where the trip ends on shore, walking-distance from your vehicle.

WETSUIT RENTAL
We always say, “there is no bad weather only bad gear.” We have you covered for all weather situations. Wetsuit rentals are available on site to keep you warm no matter what the skies are doing. During the month of May and after Labor Day weekend, wetsuits rentals are complimentary for all trips.

STORAGE LOCKERS
We have coin operated storage lockers to keep your valuables safe while you are on the river.
