Analysis, practice, and video feedback are part of this high-level program. The only requirement is a reasonable roll. We’ll help you “bombproof” it.

Arrival & Check-In
Our 3 Day programs begin with a Sunday night arrival and meet and greet with your instructor who will walk you through the itinerary for Day 1.

No cotton clothing. Closed toe shoes or sandals with a heel strap.

1. Starting the Day [ 00:00 ]
It's time to start the day. Your instructor will brief you on the daily itinerary, what to bring on the water and cover again what to wear. This is a great time also to ask any last minute questions before your day starts.

2. Gearing Up
Each program begins the same way: an orientation and personalized sizing of the equipment you will be using.

3. Safety Briefing
Ottawa Kayak Instructors have your safety in mind. Before getting on the water, your instructor will explain the safety procedures for the day.

4. Let's Kayak!
Starting with a basics review and focusing on technique, your instructor will help you achieve your goals!

5. Lunch
Rehydrate and refuel because your day is only half over!

6. More Kayaking!
Continue challenging yourself! The second half of the day will build upon the first half of your instructor's lesson plan.

7. Your arrival back to Park Village
It's been a full day of whitewater kayaking but don't run off just yet! Your instructor will provide you with an itinerary for Day 2 and the evening's entertainment options.

Day 2 is a continuation of Day 1 focusing on the skills, drills and technique that will take your kayaking to the next level!

Continue working on new skills and having a blast while doing it!

The Ottawa River is home to many incredible freestyle features. No doubt by Day 4 you'll have your favorite.

Day 5
It's culmination day. Take the skills you've been honing and put them to the test throughout the day with coaching from your instructor!
